Our client is an international organization responsible for peacekeeping operations.Job description
You will be responsible for identifying and developing sources, awarding and administering contracts between the international organization and Contractors in Egypt and Israel.
Moreover, you will be in charge for all tasks involved in letting and managing up to a certain value and under the organization directives.
Directly reporting to the Director General’s Management Review Officer, your main tasks will be:Pre-contract:
• Approval and staffing requirements;
• Prequalify contractors and maintain a list of suitable commercially and technically pre-qualified contractors in Egypt and Israel;
• Determine adequacy of performance bonds or other performance;
• Prepare draft and final contract;
• Implement and ensure compliance with the organization policy;
• Prepare documents for Source Selection and Award; conduct negociations….
Post Award Management:
• Monitor the contract to ensure full compliance with the Statement of Work;
• Prepare any contract modifications or variations as and when required;
• Perform or ensure performance of invoice audit and payment certification;
• Make sure that all contract cost data are entered into SAP and that all payments are also proceed through SAP….
Support Services Contract:
• Take action with Contractor as required to ensure performance and delivery of the Contract;
• Conduct site-walk inspections and/ surveillance visits of all Contractor functions at all locations;
• Fulfill the organization Contracting Officer’s responsibilities;
• Schedule, coordinate, preside over contract performance evaluation meetings;
• Manage Budget Line for the Contract….
Egyptian National Subcontract:
• Perform and coordinate liaison between the organization and the Contractor on Subcontract matters;
• Monitor the performance of subcontractor personnel, review annual performance assessments….
Administrative:
• Maintain records and prepare required studies, and analyse and make recommendations for the organization for cost reductions, efficiencies and improved procedures and controls…
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a College degree in Business administration or related fields, or Engineering, with formal training in Contracting and Contracts Administration. An MBA would be desirable.
You possess a minimum of 10 years experience in contracts management. Priority will be given to experience with multi-activity or operations and maintenance contracts.
You developed excellent writing and communications skills, and strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel. SAP skills in the CO, PM and MM modules are highly desirable.
Previous Middle East experience would be advantageous.
Your English is fluent (written and spoken). Arabic is useful.
